Chevelle han publicado su nuevo single, ‘Self Destructor’, primer adelanto de su próximo disco, Niratias (Nothing Is Real and This Is a Simulation). El álbum se grabó junto al productor Joe Barresi (Tool, Kyuss) y verá la luz el próximo 5 de marzo vía Epic Records.
Según ha explicado el cantante y guitarrista Pete Loeffler, el álbum tendrá una temática espacial. «Me encanta la idea del cosmos y me encantan Carl Sagan, Elon Musk, Neil deGrasse Tyson y toda esa gente que miran más allá y miran el futuro. Salir de este planeta es parte de ese futuro si podemos hacerlo. Es curioso cuando empiezas a ver lo difícil que será. ¿Cómo vas a lidiar con la radiación en una nave espacial durante nueve meses o más? Es fascinante. Todo eso se coló en la nueva música que hemos hecho».
